Hallo allerseits! Ich hoffe, ihr hattet ein schönes, besinnliches Weihnachtsfest mit Familie und Freunde. Ich bin nach den Feierlichkeiten endlich wieder zurück an meinem Basteltisch und zeige euch zwei neue Karten. Dieses Mal traute ich mich an einen etwas anderen Stil heran, da ich die Nuvo Expanding Mousse von Tonic Studios so toll finde!
Ich habe zwei verschiedene Hintergründe gestaltet, um mit der Mousse etwas zu experimentieren. Für beide habe ich Aquarellpapier mit einer Stanze ausgestanzt und die Distress Farben black soot und hickory smoke aufgetragen (von dunkel zu hell).
1. Hintergrund:
Mit der „BasicShapes“ Schablone in Kreisform von My favorite things habe ich mit den gleichen Distress Farben Kreise auf den Hintergrund „gezaubert“. Anschließend verwendete ich die gleiche Schablone mit den Nuvo Expanding Mousse Farben Tuscan Gold, Old Linen und Grey Matter. Bevor die Mousse von alleine trocknen konnte, habe ich sie mit dem Heißluftföhn manuell getrocknet, damit der Effekt noch deutlicher hervor geht.
Ein grüner Streifen Papier und silbernes Washi-Tape kamen ebenfalls noch dazu.
2. Hintergrund:
Für den zweiten Hintergrund habe ich die Nuvo Expanding Mousse Farben Tuscan Gold, Grey Matter und Old Linen (in aufsteigender Reihenfolge) mit einer Spachtel aufgetragen und gleich mit dem Heißluftföhn getrocknet. Ein total einfacher Hintergrund, durch den 3D Effekt jedoch ein echter Hingucker.
Anschließend habe ich die „Brilliant Blooms“ von My Favorite Things mit Archival Jet Black Farbe gestempelt und mit Wasserfarben koloriert. Mit Nuvo Glitter Accents bzw. Nuvo Glitter Drops kamen auch noch ein paar Glitzereffekte dazu.
Die Blumen befestigte ich mit Foam tape auf den Hintergründen und aus silbernen Glitter-Karton stanzte ich auch noch zweimal das Wort thanks aus.

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great, merry Christmas with your family and friends. I am back at my crafting table after all the festivities and want to show you two new cards. I went a bit out of my comfort zone this time because I really like the Nuvo Expanding Mousse!
I created two different backgrounds so I could experiment with the new Mousse. For both of them I used watercolor paper which I diecut and blended the distress inks black soot and hickory smoke from dark to soft grey.
1. Background:
With the „BasicShapes“ stencil from My favorite things I added circles with the same distress inks used for the backgrounds. Then I used the same stencil with Nuvo expanding mousse in tuscan gold, old linen and grey matter. Bevor the mousse had a chance to try I had dried it manually with my heat gun for a better effect.
I also added a green paper strip and a silver Washi-Tape to the background.
2. Background:
For the second background I applied the Nuvo expanding mousse colors tuscan gold, grey matter and old linen with a palette knife. A very easy background which becomes a great eye-catcher due to the 3D effect of the mousse.
Afterwards I stamped the „Brilliant Blooms“ from My Favorite Things with Archival Jet Black ink and colored them with watercolor. I also added some glitter accents with Nuvo Glitter Drops and Accents.
I adhered the flowers with foam tape to the background and diecut two thanks words from silver glitter cardstock.
